News : Our best wishes for the new year !
The year 2011 is coming to an end. Like usual we make a little summary of the past year!
2011 started of course with the magnificent victory of Noor van 't Groenenbroek at big National Show which took place January 16th in Ghent. We couldn't have dreamed of a better start of the year and luckily it didn't stop there.
During are annual participation at the Show in Nijlen we could return home with three 'golden horses' (Noor, Mina and Annelies) and also a beautiful 2nd and 3rd position for Zita and Iris. In september there was the Provincial Show in Wiekevorst where we were present with 'only' two horses: Noor became second and Iris sixth.
Also at the Official Provincial Show in Pulderbos those two mares represented our stable: again a golden medal for Noor and the 4th position for Iris.
Several horses left our stables this year: Rani left to Germany, Mina to the Netherlands and Rien and Lucas stayed in Belgium. We received lovely messages about these and earlier sold horses (see elsewhere on this website). A special mention about Vic van 't Groenenbroek, who was licensed for the second year in a row for the Studbook Ardennais. In march we visited the Stallion Show and we were pleasantly supprised about the progress of this beautiful bay stallion. Later in the year we also received positive news about his first offspring.
This year two foals were born: a half brother of Vic and again bay of color out of our mare Zita. This Arne was more than we wished for and has moved to a big studfarm in The Netherlands. Of course we also were very happy with the birth of the filly Birthe which found a new home in Slovenia.
For next year we expect again two foals: Zita is pregnant from the black stallion Harie van het Rijkelhof for the beginning of May and in July we expect out of Myra a foal from the blue roan stallion Bonarius van 't Zand.
